Service Learning and Miscellaneous Events

Service Learning is an involvement with our surrounding communities with the intentions to better those around us while also bettering ourselves. Throughout the year, there are many opportunities for each cadet to help with each service learning project and with each project, the cadet gains more knowledge and becomes a better citizen.

 

Every year, Atkins High School participates in two main ceremonies: 9/11 and Trinity Glen. Both are to promote the lives given to protect our country and those we have lost. Trinity Glen is a Veteran's Day flag folding ceremony to honor our veterans. 

 

 

 

 

Recruitment is highly incentivized in JROTC. Not only is there a decoration specifically for recruiting, but also the opportunity to leave an impact for aspiring cadets. Everyone in JROTC enjoys the fun in recruitment nights.
